We had so much fun. Chocolate fountains. Asian meatballs. Santa. Making our presence at the dance for about twenty minutes. Just being with your best friend. Can't get much better than that.

Winter Formal
Handsome and Gorgeous (kind of sounds like Hansel and Gretel) but no, we went to the hospital Christmas party and Winter Formal rather than running away from evil witches living in gingerbread houses...

We had so much fun. Chocolate fountains. Asian meatballs. Santa. Making our presence at the dance for about twenty minutes. Just being with your best friend. Can't get much better than that.

Christmas
It's three o'clock in the morning! WHY is someone poking me?! Oh yes. It's Christmas Eve and the little brothers and sisters are waking you up to see what Santa Clause brought. Are you crazy??? We have to sleep a little while longer...
Christmas was wonderful. I got a new camera. Hopefully I'll have some new pictures to post soon. I also got the "Reflections of Christ" book and DVD, a new purse, and things I needed for my iPod. Gifts aside, though, I really enjoyed the time I got to spend with my family. I love my family. It's a good thing we're stuck together for time and all eternity.
As I was sitting on the floor next to a baby in swaddling clothes lying in a baby doll crib (the annual nativity reenactment), I really got to thinking. This was my last Christmas as a "kid." I'm moving out this year. Who knows how Christmas will change in the next few years? I'm a little sad, but I am really excited to be moving on the the next part of my life. It'll be exciting.

Contentment
I love life. I have my down times but they make me grateful for the good times. Here are some of those good times...
I went to the hospital Christmas party with my very best friend. I met the real Santa Clause--the one and only. He was not fake...not one bit. They had never ending chocolate fountains and the most delicious things to put in them. Yes...we did eat too much. Oh well. We're still teenagers. After the party we went to Winter Formal. Typical school dance. We'll just leave it at that.
Two days and counting until I'm halfway through my senior year! Happy day! I don't think I can contain myself. I'm on the border in a few classes but I think I'll successfully kept straight A's. That's important for someone like myself. I cannot wait for college. Not only will I be out on my own and doing something new and exciting...there are college boys at college. Returned missionary kind of boys. Marriage may not be so far away anymore...
I get to go to a Jon Schmidt concert this Friday with one of my besties. The one who I study with. The goofy one who likes to push as many buttons as possible to get me all frazzled. Yes. That one. The Beach Boys are better than The Beatles and Pet Sounds is their best album. Yes. That's what your first session of musical education can do for you.
Long blog...write one some time. You'll realize how therapeutic it is.

Happy Day!
Today was just grand!
I'm loving life. It's like a roller coaster. It has its ups and downs but I love the adrenaline rush it gives you.
Taylor Swift inspires me. 92% of her songs can be related to my life. If you ever want to know how I feel, just listen to her CD.
Is is silly that I can imagine falling in love with a vampire? Yes? I know.
Enough random thoughts for today. I need to save some for the novel I'm going to write some day.
Peace out.

Dear Prince Charming
PRINCE CHARMING:
I hope you're enjoying your time slaying dragons. This whole "princess in the making" isn't any fun. OK-- maybe I exagerate a bit but some of it is just downright stupid. I hate crash courses in love because that's all I do--crash and burn. Boys are difficult to deal with, I have no idea what true love is or feels like, and I have come to the conclusion that I'm a royal pain in the butt.
Love,
THE PRINCESS

My Besties
Have you ever met those someones? The someones who you just click with. Sometimes it doesn't happen right away. You actually may hate them to begin with (It's funny how life works). These someones...well...they're just amazing. They love you for who you are, even if you are weird and sassy and bossy and particular. They help make you a better person. They drive you crazy half the time but you have to put up with it because you don't know what you would do without them. I love these someones...these someones I call my boys...
So this kid moves from Texas and ends up being in like three of your classes. You're not the type to just walk up and say hi but for some reason you do and it's like "Where have you been my whole life?!" Yep. That spectacular. You're a little upset because he's super talented but vows he'll never learn any hymns... Oh well. He makes faces at you. Must be his way of saying, "Girl you are totally chill." And, yes, he would say that...
Now this other kid, he's a different story. You meet in fourth grade but, come on, he's the last kid who you would ever really be friends with, right? Yeah. You meet later on in life and you wish he'd just go away. You can hardly stand to be in the same room as him. But life never works out the way you think it should. You are so much alike it kinda freaks you out at times. You know him better than anyone else (you even catch that twitch in the corner of his mouth when he's being less than honest). He's amazing. End of story.
So...I present to you...my besties.
